Drupal 9 April update
We have had a jam-packed month here at GovCMS in the Drupal 9 (D9) team.
We’ve had two D9 seminars, released GovCMS2.0.0-beta2 on 1 April 2021, and we’re currently finalising the security assessment on the distribution.
We now have a high degree of confidence for the launch date of Drupal 9. We now expect to release Drupal 9 on 11 May 2021.
Don’t worry if you missed out on our latest Drupal 9 seminars. Post session resources are now available for:
- the Path to D9 event on 1 April 2021
- Technical workshop: How to setup a local environment in Drupal 9 on 10 March 2021
For our D8 customers, don’t forget to book in your migration time slot.

For our D7 customers, reach out and organise a time to chat with us about your website plans. We want to help you to make your upgrade as smooth as possible.
And for our PaaS customers, we will be reaching out towards the end of April to discuss your plans. We want to know how is your upgrade going? What are your timeframes? And what have been your challenges?
