Say Hello to Our New Pre-production URL

Over the next month, GovCMS will be introducing a new pre-production URL just for sites that are not yet live. This new URL will be available to SaaS customers and for PaaS customers with a subscription to GovCMS Web Protection Services. New projects that get underway in the future will get this new URL too. 

The pre-production URL will offer the same Web Application Firewall (WAF) rule protection that is currently available with live GovCMS sites. You’ll be able to test your site thoroughly before it launches to the public. Sites will still be protected by a shield, meaning you won’t be able to see the site unless you know the password.  Content caching will be disabled until the site goes live. 

Once your site goes live, the pre-production URL will no longer work.  You’ll switch to using the URL of your live site to create and update content. 

We’re aiming to have this ready by the end of September 2024.  We’ll be reaching out to all teams with projects that are underway to provide information about next steps you need to take and the support in place to help you through this transition.
