Meet the team – introducing Tara
The GovCMS team have been lucky enough to retain Tara after her graduate rotation at Finance. A recent graduate from the University of Melbourne, Tara has been with GovCMS since August 2020.
With a Masters of Information Systems and experience in software development and testing, Tara has been an asset to the Service Design team.
"Working with GovCMS has been a great learning experience. I am really enjoying learning about user experience design.
As a software developer and tester, I have always tried to see my projects from the user’s perspective. Being able to do it here for GovCMS has been great."
Tara may have been with GovCMS since August 2020 but she only just joined the team in Canberra. As a Melburnian, COVID-19 meant Tara was working with the GovCMS team remotely for most of 2020 from Melbourne, Victoria.
"I was so busy doing my graduate rotation that even if I had not had been in lockdown, I wouldn't have had time to leave the house.
The areas I was with during 2020 were very supportive. I never felt excluded from meetings or projects."
Now that Tara is in Canberra, she's ready to enjoy her time reading and watching Netflix, until the borders open, and she can return to her true love, travel.
