The deadline to move from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 fast approaching
Attention GovCMS Drupal 7 (D7) community!
We will be retiring the GovCMSD7 distribution at the end of November 2022. The deadline to move your website from D7 to Drupal 9 (D9) is fast approaching. It’s time to get a move on with only 5 months left!
If you have a SaaS website and do not move your D7 website to D9 by November 2022, you will be required to move to PaaS hosting. This will mean the associated PaaS costs will also be passed on to your agency. It will also mean your team will need to put in more effort to maintain your site. If you don’t maintain a PaaS site properly it may expose your site to potential security risks and jeopardise the stability of your website. Sites hosted on the PaaS platform are responsible for their own security patching and updates. This can take time and requires specialist skills.
Need a developer to help get your site migrated? We’ve established our Whole of Government GovCMS Drupal Services Panel (DSP). There are currently 17 suppliers on the GovCMS DSP. Our panel members are approved suppliers who have the necessary skills to provide expertise with Drupal and the GovCMS platform.
